Precision-engineered hydraulic and mechanical dock levellers designed to bridge height variances between loading docks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
In any modern logistics facility, the interface between the fixed warehouse floor and the varying height of a delivery trailer represents a primary point of potential operational friction. When articulated lorries, drawbar trailers, or delivery vans reverse into a bay, tyre compression and suspension movement cause the vehicle bed to fluctuate constantly during loading and unloading cycles.
As an integral component of our comprehensive loading bay doors and dock packages, an Arrow commercial dock leveller creates a solid, slip-resistant bridge that compensates automatically for these vertical discrepancies. This enables counterbalanced forklifts, powered pallet trucks (PPTs), and roll cages to move seamlessly into the vehicle without violent jolts, tyre scuffing, or load damage.
Every dock leveller we supply is manufactured in strict accordance with BS EN 1398 and installed by our certified in-house engineering team, ensuring dependable daily throughput across your distribution network.

We offer bespoke leveller configurations tailored to match your fleet profiles, building design, and daily goods turnover.
The premium solution for versatile, international logistics hubs. The extendable lip slides horizontally forward with millimetre accuracy, allowing operators to deposit goods onto the very rear of a trailer bed without striking the cargo. Ideal for sea containers, side-loading trailers, and temperature-controlled fleets.
The industry-standard workhorse for UK articulated transport. When activated via a single push-button cycle, the hydraulic cylinder raises the platform, the lip swings outward, and it descends smoothly onto the vehicle floor. Designed with minimal moving parts for outstanding operational reliability and low maintenance.
Where pit excavation is impractical or dedicated three-phase power is unavailable, our counterbalance spring-assisted mechanical levellers and edge-of-dock units provide a dependable, cost-effective alternative. They mount directly to the dock face, creating a functional loading bay with minimal civil disruption.
A dock leveller must withstand repeated shock loads from heavy material handling equipment travelling at speed. ArrowDock levellers are fabricated from high-grade structural steel with longitudinal reinforcement beams that allow lateral torsional flexibility, accommodating vehicle tilting when lorries are unevenly loaded.
For complete climate separation, combine your levellers with our dock shelters and seals and insulated sectional overhead doors.
The dock leveller operates in one of the highest-risk zones within any industrial premises. A sudden lorry pull-away while a forklift is on the leveller can cause catastrophic accidents if fail-safe systems are not installed. Arrow dock levellers incorporate comprehensive statutory safety mechanisms:
A swing lip leveller features a hinged lip that swings upward and rests on the lorry bed, making it the standard, economical choice for uniform vehicle fleets. A telescopic lip leveller features an extendable lip that slides forward with millimetre precision, making it ideal for fully loaded trailers, sea containers, and end-loads where space is constrained.
Our dock levellers are supplied with standard dynamic capacities of 6,000kg (60kN), suitable for standard laden counterbalanced forklifts. Heavy-duty models are available with dynamic load ratings up to 10,000kg (100kN) for demanding manufacturing and paper-reel operations.
In the UK, all dock levellers must comply strictly with BS EN 1398 (safety requirements for dock levellers). They must also adhere to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER 1998), incorporating emergency stop valves, anti-drop velocity fuses, and full-length toe guard protection.
Under PUWER guidelines and manufacturer standards, dock levellers should undergo thorough examination at least once every 12 months. In high-frequency 24/7 logistics hubs, bi-annual or quarterly servicing is recommended to check hydraulic oil condition, cylinder seals, hinge lubrication, and structural welds.
